Privacy policy
Version 1.0 · Last updated 13 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data ZapFesta collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've kept it in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us at contact@zapfesta.com.
1. Who we are
zapfesta.com and the ZapFesta early-access list are run by [REGISTERED ENTITY NAME](“ZapFesta”, “we”, “us”), [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. We decide how and why your personal data is used, which makes us the “Data Fiduciary” under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers zapfesta.com and our early-access list. When we launch the ZapFesta app and services, we'll update this policy to cover them and tell you before the changes apply to you.
3. What we collect
What you give us when you sign up:
- Your name
- Your mobile number
- Your city or town
- Your preferred language
- Why you're interested (for example, you run a business or plan celebrations), if you tell us
- A record that you agreed to this policy and our terms, and when
What we collect automatically when you visit: we use analytics to understand how people use the site. This includes pages you visit, how long you stay, your device and browser type, the site that sent you to us, and your approximate location based on your IP address. Our analytics provider is [ANALYTICS PROVIDER]. It may use cookies or similar technology.
We don't ask for sensitive details such as payment, health, religion or ID numbers.
4. Why we use it
- To tell you when sneak peeks unlock, when we launch, and about your early-access benefits
- To help you get started on ZapFesta when it launches, for example by setting up your account with the details you've already given us
- To talk to you in your preferred language
- To understand where interest is coming from (by city and type of user) so we can plan our launch
- To improve the website, and to keep it secure and free of spam and fake sign-ups
We only contact you about ZapFesta. We do not sell your personal data.
5. How we'll contact you
When you sign up, you choose which of WhatsApp, SMS and phone calls we may use. We'll only use the ones you picked. These are promotional messages: news about our launch, sneak peeks, early-access offers and help getting started. You can stop any channel, or all of them, at any time by replying STOP where the message allows it, or by writing to contact@zapfesta.com. We'll stop within 7 days.
6. Your consent
We use your sign-up details because you agreed to it when you joined the list. We keep a record of what you agreed to, the channels you picked, and the version of this policy and our terms at the time.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it's as easy as giving it: reply STOP, or write to contact@zapfesta.com. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew. Once you withdraw all consent, we'll stop contacting you and delete your details, unless the law requires us to keep them.
7. Who we share it with
We share your data only with service providers who help us run ZapFesta, and only what they need to do their job:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our website and systems
- Messaging providers that deliver our SMS, WhatsApp messages and calls
- Our analytics provider
- Google Fonts, which serves the typeface on our site and receives your IP address when the page loads
They may only use your data on our instructions. We may also share data if the law requires it, or with a buyer or successor if ZapFesta is merged or sold, who must then protect it as this policy describes.
8. Where it's stored
We store sign-up details on systems we control. Some of our service providers may process data outside India, which we only allow where Indian law permits it.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up details while the early-access list is running and while we help members get started after launch. If you haven't created a ZapFesta account within 6 months after we launch, we'll delete your details. We'll delete them sooner if you ask. We may keep limited records longer where the law requires it. Analytics data is kept according to our analytics provider's settings.
10. How we protect it
We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and limiting access to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Your rights
Under Indian law, you can:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- Ask us to correct, complete or update it
- Ask us to delete it
- Withdraw your consent
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to
- Raise a complaint with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India
Write to contact@zapfesta.com with the mobile number you signed up with.
Stopping messages doesn't need any checks. We'll stop within 7 days. For everything else, so nobody can see, change or delete your details but you, we'll first send a message to your signed-up number to confirm it's you. We'll act within 30 days of your confirmation. When we delete or correct your details, we also ask our service providers to do the same.
12. Age
ZapFesta's early-access list is only for people aged 18 or older. If we learn that someone under 18 has signed up, we'll delete their details.
13. Cookies and analytics
Our analytics may set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.
14. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, write to contact@zapfesta.com. We'll acknowledge it within 7 days and respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
15. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy as ZapFesta grows. Each update gets a new version number and date, listed below. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we'll tell you before it applies, and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
